The Jolly Sailor

Corinne Webber and Alex Wallis, mother and daughter and our team welcome you to the Jolly Sailor at Orford, Suffolk.

We are a traditional village pub in close proximity to Orford Quay where you can take a boat trip on the River Ore or over to Havergate Island. A short walk takes you to the village centre and castle. Woodbridge, Snape Maltings, Tunstall forest and Aldeburgh are a short drive away or a good walk or cycle ride for the more adventurous.

The pub itself is full of charm with nooks and crannies, log burning fires and sailing memorabilia. There is a large patio area, garden and orchard with views across the marshes towards the Ness with its fascinating history and a haven for birds and other wildlife.

Our en suite double letting rooms are available throughout the year with room for children and the odd canine.

We serve top quality Adnams Ales, wines and spirits alongside our seasonal menu. Our ingredients are locally sourced wherever possible and cooked to order.

Large groups/parties may be catered for by arrangement in a separate room, whatever the occasion. Our chef can prepare a specific menu for a special event or meal.
